Textbooks & Store Name

We understand the confusion new students might have about our store name.  We opened in '69 as Texas Aggie Bookstore, selling textbooks and Aggie apparel.  Due to licensing issues, we had to add the "land" a while back.  In the past year, with the costs of textbooks and shipping costs rising, we started analyzing how much business we were really doing with textbooks.  It is sad but with students buying online and other issues, we recently stopped selling textbooks.  We have changed our online website (TXAG.com) to TXAG Store.  We are focusing on growing our Aggie apparel sales and graduation gear.  We are considering changing our name but it does provide rich history and Old Ags look for Texas Aggieland Bookstore because they have shopped with us a lot of years!  We will keep you posted on if/when we completely change our name.  Sorry for any confusion about the textbooks!
